There are nice beaches on both the east side and west side of the Gulf of Thailand. There are both busier, touristy, beaches and quieter beaches on both sides. The eastern beaches are farther south and most will entail a flight (except Hua Hin), while the western beaches are reachable by bus. I am interested in the quieter beaches for scenery, animals, swimming and snorkeling. Look into this more. Hua Hin as a place to live?
